Cultural Offer in Barcelona is extremly diverse

The museums in Barcelona represent a wide range of subjects: art, history, zoology, archaeology, engineering, architecture and much more.

The city is dedicated to famous personalities like Picasso, Miró or Gaudí. Large Museums, parks and buildings are devoted to them and bear their distinct signature.

In addition to the museums and monuments, Barcelona also offers a wide musical range. Many festivities, festivals and concerts can be visited.

Lifestyle

Despite its 1.6 million inhabitants, Barcelona has kept much of the original life. In every district, to the present day, you will find a market where groceries are being brought on a daily bases. Southern serenity in the parks with a game of bowls, but also the opposed hectic atmosphere on the streets can be observed. At night, you can go out and celebrate for as long as you wish to.

Until today you can experience in the Catalan capital, how the trauma of decades of oppression of one's own culture has been processed and still is. The emphasis on their own language in public and the many typical Catalan festivals are the only obvious signs of this. This gives Barcelona a unique flair, which as well is not hidden to the tourists.

The people in Barcelona are friendly and supportive, even if you do not speak Catalan. A Catalan "bon dia" instead of the castellan "buonos días" already breaks the ice and you will be helped in Spanish or any other language.
