On this day tour you learn know about the maritime side Barcelona, both the sights, as well as culinary. Do not forget to pack your swimwear and sun cream.
Barcelona, that is sun, beach, boats and sea. You can find many good seafood restaurants in Barceloneta, the area between the port and beach.
The tour begins with an insight into the maritime history of Spain and Barcelona. From the subway station Drassanes (line 3) are just a few meters towards the sea to the Museu Marítim. You can find it on the right side at the end of the Ramblas, right on the Plaça del Portal de la Pau, upon which the Columbus pillar is located. The museum is very interesting and a real highlight of any stay in Barcelona. To admire, there is a unique a replica galley of the 16th Century.
Should you not have breakfast in your hotel, you can use it either in the cafeteria of the Museu Marítim or in the Gothic quarter, not far away from the metro subway station. There are lots of bars and cafes for breakfast.
After the museum, you can look at an increase position onto the Ramblas and enjoy the harbour view from the top of the Columbus monument. If you plan to visit the Montjuïc during your stay, it is worthwhile but not necessarily.
Now go on the Rambla del Mar, which continues left from the Plaça del portal to Maremàgnum. Depending on how long you have stayed in the Maritime Museum, it is now time for a little lunch. This allows you to eat in one of the restaurants in Maremàgnum. The Maremàgnum welcomes you to buy a few souvenirs, also for extensive shopping.
Another highlight is coming. Right behind the Maremàgnum is the Aquàrium, one of Europe's largest of its kind. Unforgettable experience is certainly the trip in the glass tunnel through the shark pool.
Only about 300 meters at the docks, directly on the marina is the Museu d'Historia de Catalunya. The museum shows in a very impressive way the history of Catalonia, from the early days to today. There are no significant findings issued, but the exhibits are very appealing. You should also enjoy the view to the port from the terrace.
Now you come over to the marina in the town of Barceloneta. This has a marked history. Its origins as the home of fishermen recognize today that here are predominantly restaurants, which offer fish and seafood. Stroll through the district to the beach.
Then you can now walk, past the large steel fish and the Olympic port, to a place you like and then go swimming or sunbathing. If you have in mind for more activity, you can do with an approximately 2-hour sailing part. You can book here.
In the evening, it is then to eat in a restaurant in Barceloneta. You can either enjoy the evening atmosphere and go back to the starting point of this tour over the Moll d'Espanya to the Rambla del Mar or you go to the underground station Barceloneta (metro L4).
With the \"Golondrinas\", you\'ll experience Barcelona from a different perspective. You can choose between the shorter harbour tour through the yacht harbour, the fishing port and the freight port and the long excursion. The long ride “Port i Litoral” takes you to the port facilities and into the open sea along the coast to the city limits of Barcelona at Port Fòrum.

Such deserted and atmosphere you experience the Rambla del Mar early ony in the early morning only. In the background the 5*-hotel Eurostars Gran Marina.

Culmination of the Museu Marítim is a original replica of a medieval galley and the issue of countless medieval models.

The marina of Barcelona.

In the Aquárium you'll see the elegant "flight" of the rays and see the white sharks directly into the eyes.
