The Aerobús is a shuttle bus that connects the two terminals T1 and T2 of Barcelona Airport (BCN) with the city center. The buses run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with very frequent services.

You don't have to worry about timetables. The buses are absolutely reliable, very comfortable and the vehicles are specially designed to meet the needs of travelers with luggage.

The routes to the stops in the airport terminals are very well signposted and easy to reach. The stops are also easy to find in the city center. It's very easy to decide which bus to take: Line A1 for Terminal T1 and the A2 for Terminal T2.

  • Round trip: €18.50 (the return ticket is valid for 15 days from the outward journey)
  • Children under five years old travel free, no ticket is required
  • There are no discounts on the ticket price, e.g. for seniors
  • You can use the A1 (from/to Terminal T1) and A2 (from/to Terminal T2) lines with the ticket booked online

Since the Aerobús is privately operated, tickets from the network systems are not valid here. You will therefore need an extra ticket for the bus. You can book this online in advance here, quickly and securely.

Aerobús stops at the airport

Terminal T1 stops - Line A1

In Terminal T1, the stop is in the basement on level 0. Simply follow the signs. On the way from the arrivals hall to the stop, you will pass the tourist information office, where you can pick up booked Barcelona Cards, for example. The issuing office is next to the entrance to the airport chapel under the escalator that leads to the basement of the terminal.
If you are coming from the city center, there is an additional stop on level 3 where you can get off. However, you cannot board there in the opposite direction.

Terminal T2 stops - Line A2

There are two stops at Terminal T2 that are served by Line A2. The line starts at Terminal T2B, which is located towards T2A. The second is in front of Terminal T2C. You can get to both stops by going straight from the arrivals hall to the exit. In T2B you will also pass the Tourist Information.

Route to the city center and stops along the way

There are several stops on the journey from where you can change to the metro, FGC or Renfe (but you will then need additional tickets, for example the Hola BCN!). On the way from the airport to the city center, both lines stop at Plaça Espanya, Gran Via - Borell, Plaça Universitat and the final stop at Plaça Catalunya. In the opposite direction, you cannot board at Plaça Universitat.

Luggage in the Aerobús

You can take your luggage with you on the bus. There are generously sized storage spaces in the middle. Luggage is included in the fare.

You can also transport bulky luggage such as strollers or bicycles. Whatever you transported on the plane can also be taken on the Aerobús. Please note that if there is no space for oversized luggage, you will have to board the next bus.

Wheelchairs

The Aerobúses are suitable for wheelchairs and can be secured for the journey. The buses have a ramp for boarding.

Animals in the Aerobús

Animals can be taken along if they are transported in a transport box. Guide dogs can be taken along on a leash.

Aerobús operating times

The Aerobús runs 24/7 every day of the year, on all public holidays and also on New Year's Eve. The frequency is 30 minutes at night, and during the day the buses run every 5-20 minutes.

The journey from the airport to Plaça Catalunya and vice versa takes around 35 minutes.
