For medical emergencies, Barcelona has an extensive network of hospitals and emergency rooms that also cater to international visitors. The general emergency number in Spain is 112 and covers police, fire and medical emergencies. For medical assistance, dial 061 to call an ambulance.
If you lose something, you can contact one of the city's Lost and Found offices. These are distributed throughout Barcelona, ââincluding at the transport companies and the airport, and help to find lost items.
If you have serious problems, you should contact the nearest diplomatic mission. There are several consulates in Barcelona, ââincluding the German consulate at C/ Marina, 16-18, 30a (in the Torre Mapfre). Consulates offer support in emergency situations such as issuing replacement documents or legal advice.
In addition, you can report to the police if necessary, for example in the event of theft or other criminal incidents. The local police "Mossos d'Esquadra" and the Guardia Urbana are on duty throughout Barcelona.
Finally the holiday arrives. The joy of the journey abroad is great. However, one should not forget that the holiday could be tarnished or that the business trip does not quite run that smoothly, due to an upset stomach or an injury.
