With experienced instructors you will learn the basics of diving in a safe and controlled environment. Learn how to use the diving equipment, discover the underwater world and see wonderful sea creatures off the coast of Barcelona.
PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) offers diving training worldwide. It is the largest commercial organization for diver training. The courses are standardized worldwide and accepted by most other organizations.
Offers you the opportunity to get a taste of diving and to do your first dive with equipment under the guidance of a diving instructor.
This "try dive" is especially recommended for newcomers or beginners. The course lasts approximately three hours, of which the first 30-40 minutes are briefed on how the equipment works and how to use it safely. You learn how to communicate underwater with hand signals and receive information for the further course of the dive.
With the Scuba Diver license you can dive anywhere under the supervision of a diving instructor or experienced diver (minimum Divemaster) to a depth of 12 meters. The Scuba Diver certificate is the entry into the Open Water Diver, with which you can dive independently with a buddy to a depth of 18 meters.
This dive is specially designed for people who want to get a diving license as quickly as possible, in order to deepen their knowledge in later dives and to develop further certifications at a later date, for example the Open Water Diver.
In both courses there is a theoretical instruction. In the Skuba Diver course, the theoretical part lasts about 3-4 hours. You then put on your wetsuit and booties in the changing room. A sufficient number of suits in various sizes are available.
Once on the water, your dive instructor will guide you step by step. You have enough time to adapt to the surroundings and the movements at your own pace. Although you will have learned how to equalize in the introduction, starting the dive from the beach will make it easier for your ears to adjust to the higher pressure.
You can stay under water for about an hour during the taster course, but this depends very much on how you breathe: the faster you breathe, the faster the compressed air from the bottle is used up. In the Skuba Diver course you make three dives.
During the dive, your guides will take some photos and videos so you have a souvenir of the activity.
The courses take place in small groups of up to 6 people.
Of course, the coast of Barcelona cannot keep up with the underwater world of the well-known diving spots. There are no reefs where the many marine inhabitants could hide. Nevertheless, there are many living things to see under water here.
Moving and breathing underwater is a particularly immersive experience. You will surely think back to this for a long time.
If you are thinking about getting a diving license, you can get a wonderful taste of diving here. We are sure you will like it and you will enjoy it.
